Barefaced Birth is responsible for the personal data we collect from you; this includes anyone working for, or on behalf of Barefaced Birth and any external providers who have been engaged to provide services.

HOW WE GET THE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHY WE HAVE IT

Most of the personal information Barefaced Birth processes is provided to us directly by you when you visit our website, or when you enquire about our courses, book a consultation or subscribe to our Mailing list.

All data that Barefaced Birth collects is used specifically for legitimate purposes, they may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing information to potential clients about services offered

  • To deliver the services that clients have requested

  • To contact those clients as necessary in accordance with the services they have requested

  • Providing our services to you

  • Ensuring the information held for you is accurate

  • Checking that you are satisfied with the services you received

  • To contact clients via surveys to ascertain their opinions on the service they received from Barefaced Birth

  • To maintain our own accounts and records

Barefaced Birth only use your information when your interests or fundamental rights are not interfered with.

Individual client data will never be passed to a third party without the express consent of the respective client, always provided that such confidentiality is neither inconsistent with the practitioners own safety or that of the client, the client’s family members or other members of the public, nor in contravention of any legal action or legal requirement.

Barefaced Birth may also engage external providers to assist in the provision of service. In this event, your personal information may be shared with this external provider but only to the extent that it is required for the provision of services to you. 

Barefaced birth uses Jotform for 3 Step Rewind clients to complete a 3 Step Rewind Practitioner agreement which will be sent to you by email for us to provide this service to you.  Jotform use a 256 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection that uses a SHA256 Certificate.  For more information please see https://www.jotform.com/security/  .

When someone visits www.barefacedbirth.co.uk Barefaced Birth uses third party services and Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. Barefaced Birth does this to find out information such as the number of visitors to various parts of the website. This information is processed in a way which does not identify individuals. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Barefaced Birth does not rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

Barefaced Birth may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Squarespace, our email marketing provider.

We may email you with messages about your order or account activity. For example, we may email you to tell you that:

  • Your customer account password has been reset or updated

  • You’ve made a purchase

  • Your order has shipped

It’s not possible to unsubscribe from these messages.

We share your contact information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can send these emails to you on our behalf.

The client has given us consent to process their personal data for a specific purpose. Further, the processing is necessary for both our client’s and Barefaced Birth’s own legitimate interests.  HOW WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your information is stored securely and the following procedures are in place:

All data forms and/or session notes are digitally stored. 

Session notes may include dates and times of attendance and notes of the issues arising from the session, progress made and future sessions. Any hand written notes that are made during the sessions are typed up at the end of the session and then destroyed via incineration. If any hand session notes were to be stored they would be kept securely in a locked filing cabinet.

Barefaced Birth operates a ‘clear desk’ policy, which means that session notes and other information are not left unattended.

Barefaced Birth’s ICT devices are password protected and run robust anti-virus software.

Emails are deleted after the client has completed their course; a digital copy may be placed with the client’s digital session notes.

Your data is stored securely for 7 years, in accordance with insurance and professional guidelines, after which time it is destroyed.

Data that is stored digitally will be securely deleted using SDelete. Handwritten data will be destroyed via incineration.

Barefaced Birth’s mobile devices will not be used to store personal data.

YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of personal information that Barefaced Birth holds about you.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask Barefaced Birth to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask Barefaced Birth to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask Barefaced Birth to erase your personal information in certain circumstances where it no longer has any legal reason to retain it. Please note, this may cause a contract to be cancelled, if the information requested to be deleted is required for said contract

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask Barefaced Birth to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. This includes the right to opt out of any marketing communications that Barefaced Birth may send you and to object to us using / holding your personal data if it has no legitimate reasons to do so.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask Barefaced Birth to transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, Barefaced Birth have one month to respond to you.
